In 2023, Nishitokyo City will implement the “Six Pillars of City Planning ”

 - Station squares and roads which are easy to use.

 - We will support stores and agriculture.
⑥ A city which improves its income and expenditure.

Applications for “School Expense Support” will start soon

This program provides support for a part of the school expenses.
Those who wish to continue from the previous year need to apply again.

For families with children attending kindergarten from April, 2023

The method of providing benefits and subsidies to households with children attending kindergarten will change in 2023. As a result, the amount of money that parents/guardians must pay temporarily will be reduced. In order to receive benefits, a certification of benefits must be obtained prior to receiving benefits. For more details, please refer to the city website.

Do you know about the Help Mark?

The Help Mark is a symbol worn by people with disabilities or by those who might need assistance from someone nearby. When you see people with this symbol, please offer them your help if they need.
Please give up your seat on a train or ask them if they need help at the station or a shop. In the event of a disaster, please help them evacuate to a safe place.

Story Telling in various languages

Picture books will be read to children in various languages.
When: April 15 (Sat): English, April 23 (Sun): Korean.
Both programs will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Place: Chuo Library 
Age: 3 years old and older. Pre-elementary school children must be accompanied by an adult.
Capacity: 10 (in order of application)

Kids Planetarium – Pegaroku and the Constellations of the Southern Islands

We will show the starry sky on the big screen of the planetarium. Pegaroku, a character from the Science Center, will talk about constellations in the southern hemisphere, which cannot be seen from Tokyo.
When: Every day from 10:30 a.m. to 11:05 a.m. until April 9. From April 15 (Sat.) to July 2 (Sun.), 10:30 a.m. to 11:05 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays. Also shown from 2:20 p.m. to 2:55 p.m. on May 3 (national holiday) to May 5 (national holiday).
Place: Tamarokuto Science Center
Age: all ages
Capacity:234 people (first-come-first-served basis) 
1,040 yen for adults (admission plus one show (Exhibition Rooms + Planetarium);
420 yen for children from 4 years old to high school students).
Tickets can be purchased at the Tamarokuto Science Center from 9:30 a.m. on the day of visit.

Thoughts of Peace for the Next Generation
April 12 – Nishitokyo City Peace Day

On April 12, 1945, the area around Tanashi Station was bombed and more than 50 people lost their lives in front of the station.
