Vegetables Grown in the Soil and Fields of Nishitokyo

Fresh vegetables are nutritious and healthy, and local production for local consumption (that is, vegetables grown, bought, and eaten in Nishitokyo) is environment friendly, because they do not have to be transported very far. Growing and consuming local vegetables will contribute to the achievement of one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs,) so from now on let’s eat Nishitokyo vegetables!
Farming is a lively activity in Nishitokyo, and everything from familiar greens to unusual vegetables, fruit, and herbs is grown in the city. These quality items can be purchased at direct-sale vegetable stands offering freshly picked produce, which are set up at more than 60 places around the city.
