Beware of Heatstroke During the Hot Summer

Heatstroke occurs when you become unable to adjust your body temperature due to prolonged exposure to heat and humidity.
To prevent children from getting heatstroke:
*Keep a close watch on the child’s face color and amount of sweating.
*When your child goes outdoors, make sure they wear a hat and take a drink. Tell them to drink fluids regularly and to rest sometimes in the shade or a cool place.
To prevent adults and the elderly from getting heatstroke:
*Drink water regularly, even if you are not thirsty.
*Check the room temperature regularly and use the air conditioner sensibly.
*Place emergency contacts, such as hospitals, where they can be easily seen.
